Memphis Public Library

The Memphis Public Library needed a logo design that could better communicate the progressive information hub that it had now become. Strategically, they were also looking for a way to promote the building of a new state-of-the-art Central Library and found their current design was limited based on its direct references to the Mississippi river.

I sought inspiration from the Memphis bridge that connected Memphis to the world and used the M shape of it as inspiration to design something new and modern. My design elevated the brand by creating a modern look that paid homage to their accomplishments over the past decade.
